Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft is trying to steal my credit card and money

I remebr when I signed up to xbox live with the thought that there would be an easy way to cancel my subscription and erase my card details whenever I wanted. no such luck. Have to call them up and wait days for the thing to cancell. or to remove actual credit card detail it actually they say it isn't supposed to be done and it can take months for them to remove the information. Shame on you microsoft. I'd consider taking some1's crditcard details and not allowing them to remoove the details as stealing

Um you call, and cancel it right away. Your subscription ends at the end of of your current paid month. That's it. Nothing dramatic

If microsoft charges for an extra month after you cancel, just call your credit card company and tell them that all Microsoft purchases for the next (x) months are not authorized. The credit card company will back you no problem, and Microsoft will very quickly stop trying to charge it, and shut down your account.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

If you renew with a subscription card then it automatically stops the credit card transactions. I don't know what happens after your subscription card expires though. Like if they automatically go back to using your credit card info. Sometimes you have to be on top of companies that try to finagle a few dollars from you. Scumbags do that shit thousands of times a day and it adds up for them.

They don't go back to the credit card after your subscription card expires. Unless you renew, your XBL subscription ends.

Now Playing: Crysis 2

Last Finished: BulletStorm

Online IDs: PSN: computermaximus, XBL: computermaximus

I never give out my credit/debit card infos to anyone thats why I use paypal or subscription cards for 99% of any online purchases I do. The simple thing to do is to change your credit card details and M$ will not be able to charge you if they are wrong.
