Forums - Gaming - Why a PS3 Price Cut WON'T CHANGE a thing (anti-Propoganda or bitter truth)?

A small price cut on PS3 up to $50 could boost sales for a short-term and would be offset by increased software sales.

PS3 console has technically never had a price cut ever. Re-designing the console and stripping it of its selling features to make it cheap a couple of years ago was not a price cut on PS3 console systems. In a way it was like ripping the customers off by releasing a gimped PS3 removing two USB ports and removing the PS2 BC emulation saved Sony money.

The original fully BC PS3s with 4 USB ports are a rarity to find these days. In contrast to the PS3, the other two consoles Wii and X360 have never had significant changes to the systems.
