No, it won't happen. The XBox line is really to stop Sony from disrupting computers. The XBox has stopped them. They don't need to stop Sony's handheld line.

MS should be more worried about the iPhone/iPod Touch than the DS/PSP.

If they do a portable gaming system, expect a casual gaming Zune, over a hardcore portable XBox.
