Well right now neither of their competition (Microsoft and Nintendo) have showed their big guns yet. They are both holding out for a bit. Sony does have a good lineup this year but you also can't compare it to anything because everyone is keeping hush hush on what they really have. The only games we know about for Microsoft are games announced years ago or the newest Halo: ODST announced slightly after E3 2008.

Same thing happened last year.  We knew about every big game from Microsoft last year years in advance, except for Gears 2 and Viva Pinata 2.  Even then, Gears 2 was heavily rumored, kind've like Forza 3 and ME2 now (though ME2 ended up being a 2010 title, something I did not expect).

Fable, Banjo, and Lost Odyssey were all announced in 2006 or earlier.  Same goes for their titles this year, like Alan Wake.

I doubt MS will announce much for this year outside of Forza 3 and a new Rare project.

.

Well we found out about Lips, Ninja Blade, You're In the Movies, Gears of War 2 and Viva Pinata 2 all really late or happened to be because of rumor. They also had the whole NXE thing which was rumored close to E3.

While a lot of those games ended up sucking I doubt MS is only going to announce a new Rare game. I know Peter M has a new game he wants to show and M.S. said they are going to try to break the bank at E3 so one or two more games wouldn't really do that because that'd be ordinary. I'm going to have to say E3 this year we are going to hear about a lot of games because it looks like Microsoft purposely has not been feeding us anything so by the time E3 rolls around we will be so hungry that everything will look better than it really is.

Lionhead are going to GDC. I bet they'll make an announcement there and reveal more about it at e3.

I wouldn't be surprised if they announced a new game, but I'd be very surprised if it released this year.

Fable II DLC, however, is a given to hit this year.

Nintendo also mentioned how they're going to have a much bigger presence at E3. Probably to make up for the crappy one last year.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

Sony's lineup is fantastic this year.

I'm looking forward to it.

Good news for Sony. Even better if they lowered the price of PS3.
But the dude's chin looks like an ass.

uh, griffin? Ninty 2008 E3 had Wii motion+ stuff - it was one of two interesting things to happen at the whole event

on topic - newsflash: Company exec says his company makes good products.

Also fun to laugh at, the phrase

"going to arrest the momentum from competitors."

Arrest in this context means halt or stop.

"going to stop the momentum from competitors." - lols

I don't get him trying to praise MLB: 09? Doesn't Take Two make better baseball games?  I don't know since I haven't played a baseball game in a long time, but if that is the case then it would be like trying to praise NBA Live over NBA 2k.

as of now sony's lineup >> than the other two

but with gdc and e3 on the horizon it can change. but then again maybe sony has even more games to show? that would be pretty kick ass if wii360 show of some new games then sony is like...."oh did we mention we also have this game coming"

2K's baseball games have been going downhill lately. I haven't played Sony's one, but from what I've seen it's very good. It would not surprise me if my evaluation came out the same after playing it.
