Well, I'm glad to see publishers are still interested in bringing "hardcore" manic shooter series to new gamers out there! It's a port of the fourth installment of the DonPachi series, and it's the true sequel to DoDonPachi. Damn bee, I thought it was destroyed! =P

It's coming out on a retail DVD for the Xbox 360. Here's the trailer:

Is it coming out in the US?
It was already released in Japan(in February), as I bought my copy first day(actually had it pre-ordered since last year!) I haven't had that much time to play it lately though.

I'm looking forward to Death Smiles(in April) and Ketsui(in May) as well (both pre-ordered) :)

Hmmm, not knowing much about 5pb.inc (the developer and publisher), I don't really know.

According to GameHope (french video game site), the game is only announced in Japan and coming out on Christmas day. Ketsui should come out early next year over there as well.

I hope someone will bring it here too. :(

Already out, not compatible with US consoles. Probably wont see a stateside release.

Yeah, I'd get a 360 for this and the other Japanese shmups it's received... except they're not going to get US releases :( I just can't justify a Japanese 360 and RROD at this point in time.

Yeah, it's already out. It was supposed to be released Dec. 25 of 2008, but then it was delayed until Feb. 19, 2009.

I'd say there is a slim to none chance of it coming out in the West. I'm in Japan and already have a Japanese 360, so it's no problem for me, but for other shooter fans it's difficult with the region-locks.
