didnt the slight increase for the PSP show a good amount of difference. I figure any amount of increase would make devs happier.

The PSP was always supposed to run at 333 MHz, and they had it capped at 266 for whatever reason.  266 to 300 MHz is a 25% increase, which is not "slight"; the equivalent increase for the PS3 would be 3.2 to 4.0 GHz.  That's not going to happen because the console simply wasn't designed to provide that much power or dissipate that much heat.

Around the Network

Currently only 28-29% of american homes have HDTV-sets.
I mean... and look at the HD-format sales...

Those discussions of 1080p and 60fps are like audiophile discussions where you need at least a 5000$ speaker set or a 800$ headphone and some gold plated (god knows why because it only enhances kristal noise, just solder it) connectors and please god don't even try to bother explaining them how a 192kbps MP3 files sounds as good as a 192kHz raw logDPCM upconverted WAV file. (why do people even do that?) Or those amplifiers that can only be build with bulbs etc etc....

Whatever do you or say there is always someone that will disagree and say that product X is the only true product for whatever reason the person will come up with. It not only is as stupid as religion, it is becoming a religion on itself. Now go write a 1080p bible or something...
