I think Argentina has one of the worst traffic accident rate in the whole world...

BUENOS AIRES, Jul 27 (IPS) - Traffic accidents in Argentina have been claiming an average of 20 lives a day over the past decade, making it the top country in Latin America for these tragedies. They are also the main cause of death among people under 35, but in spite of this there are no official plans to end the slaughter on the roads.

Traffic accidents are the main cause of death among young people, and the third cause of death throughout the population, after heart disease and cancer. The road will continue to claim victims at a voracious rate until preventive measures are taken.

Hmm where to begin about the interesting crime associated things that occur where I'm from.

Well I'm from Griffith in NSW Australia, theres an italian mafia, my neighbour is somewhat part of that mafia and there have been a few hits over the years and depending on where you live basically determines how likely you are to be robbed.

I personally think that Griffith is reasonably safe and I hope that what I have said dosn't make you guys think otherwise.

I live in Sydney which is pretty safe by world standards I believe but has more crime then other cities in my country.

Hmm I'm in South London so the crime rate is pretty disgraceful.

As an idea of just how bad things are getting in certain areas you need to know that I was approached twice on the way home from sixth form by people who "needed 50p for the bus" but around here you know that if someone talks like that and dresses with his face covered you can be sure that the moment you produce a wallet they will be trying to pry it from your hands. This is in the daytime by a main road as well.

I'm generally in a group when going out though so I'm not normally a target for real muggers anymore but lets say you have to travel through Brixton at midnight, even in a group you will be on edge.

Hell no! At most, only every other day.

Old people walk the streets in the middle of the night.

So i'd guess the crime rate by me is very very low.

im in the UK, where most types of crime are actually going down, yet the media would have you believe the opposite
