I don't remember any load time from the FF remakes. I understand what you feel though, I had to endure it during my whole Killer 7 playthrough, moving from room to room meant a few secs of loading but enough to irritate me :P

I say "go for it".

That's because you had a PS2 ?

I'm in the middle of ffIV for the DS and its brilliant. Its in 3d, has voice acting for certain cut scenes and is very entertaining, and there are no load times for it at all.

I've also got chrono trigger but haven't played it yet, but i imagine its a good experience just like ffIV

There is never "no load times", its just very very quick loads :P

What are you playing these games on? If it's a PS3 the bc might be off a bit. I can't play my original FF8 game because it doesn't work on my PS3. (apparently Platimum version is fine but I ain't got that version)

Hmm, pie.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Can you adjust the PS3 to read PS1 games faster?

I would recomend the DS. It has excellent games besides the two you mentioned. The FF4 remake is excellent. If the Chrono Trigger DS version is just like the SNES version then it is without a doubt AAA. Plus you'll have excellent games to play on the go.

I played played some of the SNES FF games on PS1 and in all honesty yes the load times ruin them. Would the load times be cut if you were to try them on your PS3? I have yet to try. But give it a shot. All PS3's will play PS1 games. Not just the original 60 and 20 gigs. But if you still get load times then it's DS FTW.

I have Castlevania SOTN on my PS3 and the loads are still there, most likely they will be for FF as well.
