i know this is kind of a common thread. 1) but rather than ask which console each person prefers, 2) i actually want to know what either side really has against the opposing console. 3) is either one really truly the better machine. 4) does processing speed or amount of memory on the hard drive make one better than the other. i own a 360 but i think the ps3 is not a bad console at all. 5) why is there any tension at all between both sides. 6) is it really all that important to feel like one is better than the other. also, please answer seriously, if your just here to comment on how much you hate this thread then why'd you even bother coming to it.

...hm... asking allot of info..
I'm going to try and answer all...
1) I prefer the Xbox360.
2) I own all the systems, I don't have anything against the other console other then the fact that I have to have a console when it comes out, and Sony bent me over and shoved it in sideways $$$$$... but.... it makes me feel better that I own a 60gig (now 120gig) and Sony changed much stuff with the PS3's and that my 60gig is in fact better then any other PS3 model.. / and MS bent me over and shoved it in sideways with it's RROD... but... it added a 3 year warranty.. and I don't care how may times my 360 dies, if I get a new system out of it, refurb or not it restarts the 3 year warranty, so I actually hope my 360 dies again right before the 3 years is up...
3) To each his own when it comes down to it... but.. the connection of 360 is amazing, when you turn on your 360 you feel connected with everyone and know what every person is doing with the push of the center button, it's more user friendly. 360 has it so anyone can make a game, have other people play it, and buy it.. but... the PS3 has it's features that can't be unnoticed, the upgrade HD feature is great, I suggest changing the Hard Drive to a bigger one before you even plug it in...
4) I think the disc read speed is an over looked importance to the consoles, the PS3 has a slower disc speed because of the Blu-Ray, many games used the space of the BD disc to add copies of the game to one disc to help read speeds, mandatory installs helped out plenty... but what about the games I want installed so the load times are quicker, like KZ2.. The amount of hard drive space isn't that big of a deal when they came out, but as features like HD downloads and mandatory installs, the hard Drive Space became noticeable..
5) Console Wars have been going on for years and years.. it will never end unless there is just one console, and even then people will bring up old consoles and how that was the best one (Dreamcast)..
6) I don't know if that has anything to do with the topic header...
I have plenty of reasons why I like one console over the other, or what features I like on one console to the other... but I think I typed enough...
