Now I'm a great fan of the RE series and The zelda series and I can't understand why other so call fans of either can't let go of RE4 and Ocarina of Time?  Both did something different in the series and came off great but why do fan keep future installments of those games in the shadow of RE4 and Ocarina?  Yes its going to be hard to top them and they might never will until the fan base generation gets older and their opinions doesn't matters anymore, but they can still have other great games in the series beyond RE4 and Ocarina.  RE5 is one of them.  I felt that RE4 had a terrible story (save the president daughter by yourself? come on.  That doesn't sound like RE at all.) and the cult thing and the last boss was stupid but i still have a lot of fun playing it just like the others before it.  RE5 to me felt like RE1 mix with RE4 with a touch of RE:Outbreak.  I think they did a great job too. 

What do you think? Is RE4 the Ocarina of Time of the RE series and if so will you ever let go of that to enjoy other RE games?

Also to add, why do people make it seems like the games before RE4 and Ocarina didn't exist?

no re4 is not the ocarina of time of RE's Code Veronica is for me at least

Re4 is not b/c like u said the story is not RE and there were no zombies and on and on....
