Forums - Microsoft - Star Ocean: The Last Hope "Help 'Kay?, freaking Phantom soldiers!"

Well i recently got to Disc 2 of SO4, and i gotta say the games been REAL easy for me even on galaxy mode, and Tri-Ace normally dish out REALLY hard games to play i'd even say "Hardcore" well... im about a 1/4 maybe a little more in, and guess freaking what?

The "Hard-Core" factor of SO4 FINALLY Shines here, with the Phantom soldiers, MY GOD!!!

There like the damn Angels from Till the end of Time, sept on Super Juice! (Pun-Lulz)

Anyways, i've tried EVERYTHING, and i cant beat them, the only way i stand a chance is tweak Edge's HP to 15000+ and MP to 1500+ which i've done per se' but i dont wanna make him that way so early, so is there any other way for me to take down the PS without making Edge godly?

Easy. It's an RPG, so train a bit more. If you're lazy, a cheap party is this:

- Edge, leave it to the CPU. Tactic: Give it your all;
- Reimi with Crimson Squall and Hunter's Moon. Play as her and SPAM SPAM SPAM with Chain Combo;
- Faize, leave it to the CPU as well. Tactic: Give it your all;
- Myuria, set her skills like this: Ice Needle, Deep Freeze. Next: Lightning Blast, Thunder something. Switch to her and keep spaming Healing Light if you can't handle Reimi too good. Tactic: Stay out of trouble.

Seriously, it's not hard if you "camp" somewhere. If you have your Bonus Board filled with blue tiles, this battle will level up your guys at least 2 level each. It's good EXP! =P

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Thanks man i'll give that a try.

How do you control your bonus board?

Put "Critical Hit" on Edge and get it to level 10, and have the average party level be at least 40. The battle took me two tries, and without critical hit, it definitely would have been much harder.

Killing an enemy with a critical hit = EXP tile

Killing two enemies at once = Fol tile

Getting ambushed = SP tile

Kill an enemy with only skills = HP/MP tile

Each individual enemy, so if you're lucky, you can get multiple tiles every battle.
