aka: on-rails shooter (there are on-rail titles that do not involve light gun usage).
People have been a little down on these games lately. Perhaps it's because we are passed the arcade area in the US (and maybe else everywhere except Japan). There was a time when light gun titles didn't draw so much heat upon release. In fact, the 90s offered up more then one game that could easily fall into the realm of being a classic. The first two virtua cop titles. House of the dead one and two. Time crisis one and two. Even games like Area 51 were fun at the time. And let us not forget the granddaddy, duck hunt.
So, here's you're chance to show a lil love.
Personally, one of my favorite games of all time is House of the Dead II for the DC (and arcade of course). Farrrrr better then the third game in the series (I can't yet compare to Overkill), it's a real gem that everyone should try.
