So my laptop's hard drive may be dying very soon, which would be a big fat bummer like you wouldn't believe. I like my laptop! It is very good to me. It is only three years old and still run Half-Life pretty easily.
But, alas! My hard drive will soon be kaputz. Ubuntu's startup disc said it had a "hopeless number of bad sectors", and yes, they actually said hopeless. I am not making that up. I wish I was!
Seeing this, I am left with two possibilities: I can either replace the laptop (like a computer illiterate caveman) or replace the hard drive (like a person who has thumbs). So, I need your help, you computer-literate lot! I need your help a lot, because I have thumbs but only barely.
I can figure out the mechanics of it easy enough, that isn't the problem. Why would it be? Taking shit apart is easy!
The problem is compatibility. Now, this is the hard drive that is in my laptop right now:
Now, I could just buy this and I will know that it works, but I'd like something bigger... and this honestly seems a bit expensive for ninety bucks, you know? That's like 70 cents a gig. Not good enough! I demand better dollars-to-gig ratios. I love gigs I guess?
Only problem is I don't know what else would fit in there!

Would this fit? I don't know! Have I not provided enough info to get a good answer?
Oh help me I'm drowning in a sea of my own ignorance
