I like dumb but fast zombies, makes for great movies. We just need games that feature fast zombies.

You should definitely play L4D if you haven't already. IMO they got the perfect zombies (infected) in their game.  Slow zombies just don't make sense to me anymore, and aren't intimidating in the slightest.

I'm definitely getting Left4Dead once I get a new PC.

Slow/dumb.

That factor is basically the only difference between fighting zombies and fighting random fps enemies in the first place.

Well that and the fact that random FPS enemies usually carry guns. Zombies, slow or fast, prefer to fight bare hands or with melee weapons against your gun weilding character, which makes them all dumb... and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Signature goes here!

Slow, dumb zombies in Left 4 Dead?........ wouldn't work

Fast, smart zombies in Dead rising?..... Again wouldn't work

I like both but give the edge to Dumb slow ones due to the early resident evil games and the almighty dead rising.

Slow, dumb gruesome zombies with flesh hanging off their skins and their eerie moans and groans......... Can't beat em.

This discussion reminds me of those on horror websites that argue between traditional slow zombiles and modern fast zombies or Jason Vorhees for that matter. Personally, I think they're both great as I love zombies in general. However, slow zombies is what I'm used to for that reason, it's what I prefer.

I'll come up with something better eventually...

Depends on the zombie and why they are zombies

If it’s the undead coming back to life then they need to base it on the level of decay

Just like all their stats—if your missing half the muscle in your leg you should be able to run full tilt and if your missing half the grey matter then it should show as well and if the hand and such gets lopped off then it should stop moving as well

How ever if you just died and your brain and body are still pretty much in tack then you should b have and act like a normal person until such time as decay catches up and then you become a mindless creature bent on eating and such

On the flip side if it is the new “rage” zombie that seems to only know anger and speed and defies all logic it should act accordingly

If it sees something move it should go like a bat outa hell for it and not just the “survivors”

Out of the two I would prefer the first set up

Dangerous at first but as they rot away thy become less of a threat until they eventually cant hold it together any more

I would prefer Super Enhanced Zombies, ones that hide behind walls and jump out behind you. I guess I'll make do with Left 4 Dead ...

Ninja zombies would surely be the end of us all.

This post is so random that it actually made me lol in my office at work

It depends on the game for me.  Fast zombies/infected in Left 4 Dead and 28 Days Later are perfect for those types of movies/games, and slow, stupid and funny zombies are perfect for Dead Rising and Dead Alive.  I am a fan of both, but the faster ones are definitely scarier than the slow ones.
