Ha!  Yeah, I don't get all the bitching about disc swapping.  I've been spending a lot of time in SO4 leveling up, so I'm about 24 hours into the game and have not had to switch discs yet.  Disc 1 has been in my 360 since the day Star Ocean launched.  I will not be put out by having to get up and switch discs.  Would it be nice if the 360 was using a format that could fit everything on one disc?  Yes.  Is it really that big of a deal?  No.  PS3 may have BluRay, but that's also the very piece of hardware that drove the price up on that console in the first place.

plus i don't have to take out my 360 games when i want to watch a movie.  cause watch blu rays and dvds all on my ps3, so i'm switching discs way  more often.  Said PS3 game may only be on one disc but i have to take it out whenever watching a movie, put game back in, take out for different movie, and so on.

To all those opposed to disk swaps I ask you this:

Is it worth an extra $50 to have this feature?

Blu-Ray is one of the reasons the PS3 costs so much and I'm sure it adds at least this amount to the price of the console. It was probably closer to or over $100 at launch so really.. Is it worth it?

I hate swapping discs. Generally I would not okay a game where I had to. I have played some. But I stay away from them myself. Also, blu-ray offers more, Textures take up a lot of space. This is a strong point for the blu-ray :P

i have find myself downloading illegal copies after i lost disc 3 and scratch 4.

i couldn't finish the game.

even if i owned the original.
