I never understood how XBL was better its good dont get me wrong , its does exactly what PSN does, except as far as i know PSN has larger battles online like resistance 2 up to 60 and with MAG coming up having 256 players online, as far as i know XBL does nothing like this Nor does it have a web browser , its good, but it doesnt justify paying £40 a year for when PSN does exactly the same / slightly more for free lol

live has more content. movies, tv shows, etc.

well dont laugh please justify your £40 a year .when have you played against more than 30 people in an online event on your xbox? if its so great why cant it handle a lot of people online, and it has more tv shows to download, are they free? doubt it so you've basicaly just told me you pay £40 a year to pay for the option of downloading more movies and tv shows, explain and give a real answer of how xbl is so much better then, infact reply to me of your xbox web browser, o wait you cant

Psn also has down loadable content you can download ps1 games, psp games, demos film trailers themes short films. a few tracks etc, im sure America and japan have more ,can send messages to friends in game, use bluetooth headsets to chat online or use keyboard or you can have webcam chat, we get home which is good a lot of people use it still and we get our realistic avatar rather than a wii copy, playstation 3's use the internet to help cure diseases with Folding at home and again ps3 web browser

First off...only a fool would pay the full price for the annual subscription...and as for which one is better, I can't say, since I don't own a ps3, but I've seen nothing reported about psn to make me think it's better than XBL.  a web browser...I guess that's why ps3 owners don't buy as many games...they are more focused on "other" non-gaming activities...lol

ok maybe i was being a bit annoying , but it annoys me when people say PSN has nothing on XBL when i have just stated several things it can do that XBL cant and all they can say back is, cause its better, prove it lol because i want to end this stupid argument on here that i've seen on so many forums

In addition to a much MUCH larger amount of content - the Live service has a set of quality controls that PSN doesn't (or at least didn't, I dunno if they've come onboard with the idea yet.)

That means you can see your friends online, playing any game, whether or not they're playing single or multi player.

That means that DLC, particularly multiplayer online DLC, is a priority for developers to work on the 360 first, and sometimes exclusively, even if the game was multiplat.

 Dude seriously, ask yourself this. Why doesnt these 60 player online games have millions of regular players? Do you think it's fluke that the 360 has games where millions of people regularly play?

Coming from my friend who is an avid PC online shooter, more than 24 players sucks arse for many reasons. Not least spawn killing. After playing Resistance 2 myself, I would choose a 10 player online shooter any day. And the fact that Gears 2 is just that and whips Res 2 online is a testament to more doesnt mean better.

Of course Live can do more than 60 online shooter. Ever heard of Huxley? Rumoured out this year? MAG has 250 online was it? Huxley tested succesfully over 1000. Huxley is an MMOFPS for PC and 360.

I would rather pay £34.99/ year and have no disconnections than be disconnected 4 - 5 times an hour on certain games with PSN.

And if the 360 had a browser I would never use it. I have a PC thanks. Consoles are for games. That where Sony have gone wrong this gen.

In no way is this a dig at Sony or the PS3. It's pointing out the flawed philosphey of a fanboy. And yes Live has alot of ENTERTAINMENT stuff that PSN doesnt. Notice I didnt say Browser or operating system?

if your console disconnects online may i suggest you get a better internet connection, cause it sounds really shit mines never done it once on my ps3 or xbox, yes playstation has a message come up in top corner with the name of your friend that has come online , I Never said resistance was good, i just said it can handle more people online than any xbox game, unless this game you speak of comes out with 1000 online players at once , and whats MUCH more content as well, i see more on xbl yeah but not a fat lot more, PSN still has the important things to download, still doesn't justify paying for it and you know its true , If i wanted entertainment id go buy a dvd from a shop, rather than pay for the option of paying for it from xbox, basically all im saying is XBL isnt the dogs bollocks and PSN is just as good
