I'm in Venezuela too, I just pirate handheld games (I own a DS and PSP). Sometimes I buy games for my Wii and I have about 10 friends that own a PS3 so we buy different games and trade them...

That's what I've been doing. I'm 18 I dont play as much as I used to so don't need to have games as soon as they come out. I've become too casual the last few years. I play with my friends mostly and Star Fox 64 for the memories/nostalgia... Favorite game ever.

But with games like Killzone 2, I have to buy my own copy if I want to play against other friends. Same with Brawl or Mario Kart. They aren't the type of games you trade wih friends unless said friend just hates the damn thing.
