it can't really have a second part, as alan moore decided not to do the prequel he had planned because he feels that DC screwed him over. however there is a direct to DVD film coming out on the 24th that has 2 featurettes called the "black freighter" and "under the hood" (the book the first Nite Owl wrote) check that out.

they were both part of the original graphic novel btw, but were made a DVD because the movie would have been super long.
