Video games are a breading ground for type A personalities and high blood pressure. Add that with the tendency toward lack of exercise and unhealthy eating, and yeah, it does make one more prone to heart attacks and over degradation of health leading to premature death. That isn't to say that if the person is smart that he cannot control ALL of these issues. I mean, if the person isn't smart they could die prematurely in any environment. Are we to downgrade society to account for the most ignorant of men? It would be hell for the rest of us.
| Fei-Hung said: @bardicverse yes they can since the advert is ruining the image of the company product on very weak if next to nothing information. the advert could have used any controller or even made a fake 1 but they didnt. legally they have made a very harsh and bold statement, if they go to court they have to prove video games are directly linked to death! all sony needs to do is give stats to show how many ps owners have died from actually playing their console. the advertisement company will also have to justify without discriminating a certain company why they used that prop and didnt think it through. it is commonsense, even well known programmes like Simpsons use fake brands! this advert may also bring devs etc together and give a big FU to those responsible for the advert. bottom line is, presidents, prime ministers, celebs, hospitals, cancer research (ps3 folding at home) facilities, airlines, gyms (dance mats and wii sports etc) promote/ accept/ back these games and consoles, the company wont have a leg to stand on. |
With the bolded part, you do know that if your computer has an Nvidia graphics card, you can download the Folding@Home software for your computer, right? It's on Nvidia's website.
OT: This group sounds like the people who loathe Pokemon. They sound like they won't win at anything. I bet this is just a rumor and nothing more. If not, Sony doesn't have the time or money to force a lawsuit. They are in no position to fight legally for the shithole their in with debt.

The latest craze that's been going on in Korea for the past few years has been WoW. Koreans are more crazier over WoW than anyone else.

Didn't MS release a statement recently stating (based on their research in the UK) that video games where educational and good for you..or something along those lines?
I think MS was aware of this campaign and prepared a counter strike. Good for them.
Depending on how this plays out the only console with any chance of benefiting from this crap is the wii. They can exploit the kid with the controller as a x360/PS3 user and advertise their own games with a kid jumping around waving his arms indicating a long and healthy life.

i had a medical check up last week and my blood pressure was good, nowhere near being high my doctor said. i also did a 2 hour round walk on monday at work
We could flood Youtube with Dept. of Health modified ads showing McDonald's hamburgers instead of console pads.
