Amazing list, in my eyes. Of course there are some flaws to it, the most obvious being that RPG's are not prominent enough. But the list is a really good mix (only the top ten is Nintendo biased; the top 100 is more balanced) and it focuses on two principles: simple fun and atmosphere. This is shown by the top two: SM 64 is simple fun at its best while OoT is awesome when it comes to atmosphere. Of course they are both great games first and foremost, but what really makes them outstanding are those two concepts.

My only real personal complaint is the complete lack of Rareware games, I think at least Donkey Kong Country should have made the list.

very confusing list. Play today? anyone could certainly find ANY game and play it today from any era or platform. Why they say we people should rush and play their top ten list today got me all clueless... 2 Zeldas, 4 Mario games (couple of very old SNES ones), Tetris and Halo 3 really? then Half Life 2 and RE4....all that in a top 10, seems rather limited to me and not really appealing for TODAY. For me, I'd pass most of them, except Half Life 2, and RE4 (if I hadn't finished it already), and that's not saying all the other games aren't equally good or a lot better. It all seems so Nintendo-centered if you ask me. At least the top 10 should've been more diverse, after all they're definitely lots of games worthy of a top-10 spot that if you have the right platform or can get a hold of one, you should definitely try TODAY. But Tetris, Halo 3, old Mario games, uh...nah, Edge's got their priority's all screwed up..
