There won't be a Gears of War 3. Epic Games is considering to make a prequel to the Gears of War universe. And I don't think it will surpass what Killzone 2 is doing as far as sales, hype and the game alone. It's the next best FPS currently.

this is why competition is good for the industry, MS make Gears of War 2, sony respond with Killzone 2 so MS respond with Gears of War 3, for me its win-win as i have a PS3 and a 360!
