I have never used Ebay before. But there are some games you can get for pretty cheap new and used off of there. Can anyone tell me what they have found while using Ebay?(i mean like how well its gone, cost of an item. if the item was broken/real)

Ebay did nothing about getting you the money back? Didn't reprimand the person who sold you fake goods?

Nope they just told us to leave negative feedback so that it wouldn't happen again..

I bought ~15 things all together. Never had any problem, all works fine. They pretty much had accurate description. The sellers had a good feedback too. All were gaming related, usualy games/cables or something similar.

"And yet, I've realized that maybe living a "decent" life means you won't ever have a "good" life."

Its not as safe as buying through Amazon market place, but Amazon can cost more (certainly if your are a seller).

Still I have (generally) had a good experience with even when I have had a problem. I bought COD 4 and the disc was scratched and would not load, wrote to seller and he told me to return it and I got a full refund. Paypal is not the safest though, Amazon is much safer.

I have also bought other games (new and sealed) and then sold them for more after I have played through them!!

You just have to check the feedback. I only buy from people with a 97%+ rating after 100 feedback. Those that had a bad experience are always more vocal than those that had a good experience. If they have a decent amount of good feedback, you don't have to worry, barring some fluke where your item gets lost in shipping.

I have bought a number of products and have never had a problem:

I got Ico new for ~$50 a few months ago when it was still going for $90+, because of a coupon I got form Live.com, plus a bunch of other cool deals. Recently bought MGS: Portable Ops new.

ebay has gotten better with their customer protection, but it was lacking the last time I had a problem. I bought a $5 copy of the Matrix on DVD and it was pitted and wouldn't play. I didn't get anything back. However, I did buy a used copy of Mario Strikers Charged off e-bay with no problem.

Typically with e-bay if you are buying non-electronic items (car parts, books, whatever) you don't typically run into a problem. Electronics are a high-scam item, especially if you get those Arabians who have uncles who are princes but they need to send you a $1000 check cause it is the smallest their bank will allow

Anyways, typically I buy my electronics from Amazon as they have their A-Z protection policy which not only guarantees what Amazon sells, but also their marketplace users (random people who sell on amazon)

EDIT: I agree with makingmusic though. If you have some strict guidlines like that you are less likely to have a problem. However, it still doesn't guarantee anything, as I have heard of people having their account stolen so they could use the good feedback to scam others.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I bought MGS: Portable Ops and an 8GB memory stick a couple weeks ago. Still haven't arrived, but they said it takes 3-4 weeks when shipping that far.

Just make sure you choose someone with lots of positive feedback, don't take chances on newbies.
