Forums - Gaming - NFS : Shift. New and very Simbin news.......

so, they're trying to get into simulators using the NFS brand, won't it kinda alienate the fan-base from the post-Underground era (which still BOUGHT the last games, which apparently had an absurd cost of production)?

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

Live for Speed:

and no reviews below 84%.

Oh boy 1. Firstly you use Race Pro as the arguement for Simbin Development. LOL. 2. second you string off some awards and reviews which mean bugger all in the world of videogame racing.

http://www.gtr-evolution.com/index.htm

And thats from the latest PC game. 3. This studio wins the same MAJOR awards every year.

1. I used their most recent game which happens to be Race Pro, not my fault if it sucks. You've been preaching it like its gods gift to racing sims.

2. I didn't realize you were an expert on "videogame racing awards" LOL

3. Good for them? So do the Live for Speed developers, did you miss the part where Live for Speed hasn't recieved a review under 84%?

Guess what, by any and all accounts GT5 and Forza are both better than Race Pro, I hate to break it to you but any game that gets a 45% review score is NOT a good game.

These are all from Live for Speeds site;

"This home-built simulation is already in a league of its own, and it's only going to get better... The finest production-car racing simulator on the market today."

"Intimidatingly hardcore but enormously impressive"

And I could go on.

Do you have a 360 to play Race Pro? Have you played Race Pro at one of your friends 360?

No,I can tell you that you haven`t.

I bought Race Pro and never looked back at Forza 2 and PGR 4. It`s that good. You have the amateur/semi-pro/pro difficulty,so everyone will be happy. An excellent simulator with great tracks and cars (many exclusive actually).

I even played it splitscreen and system link multiplayer and I can tell you it`s great. I haven`t played on Live.

Trust me,as an experience,"nothing gets closer". If you want to say something about the graphics, the reviews,etc...trust me,the single player experience and the fun you have with your friends is ALL that matters.

Race Pro:

Games Magazine
“There are many competitive games in this category BUT Race Pro beats them all!!”

US Team Xbox
“there’s a smoothness that Race Pro possesses that doesn’t always exist when developers tackle millions of polygons moving at breakneck frame speeds.”

Gameplanet New Zealand
“There may be a number of racing titles vying for your attention at the moment, but none will offer the same level of realism and challenge that RACE Pro boasts.”

IGN Australia
“Race Pro provides unrivalled realism and deep immersion into the racing world through ultra realistic car models and official FIA championships and tracks”

Benelux Games Guide
“One of the best race games on the 360, period”

Benelux Veronica
“Finally a game where you don’t have to crash to win”

To bad that everyone will buy GT5 and Froz 3 thinking they are the best simulation games for consoles.
Sigh.

Does this answer for you why it's NOT crap. Just because it's not mainstream console easy, doesnt mean it's not ultra realistic.

Dude, stop misleading the crowd.

They already stated in an interview that they will focus on the balance between arcade racer and sim racer. They are not going full sim.

http://www.shacknews.com/featuredarticle.x?id=1083

"While the two statements might seem at odds, the contradiction gets to the point of Need for Speed: Shift (PC, X360, PS3, PSP). Neither a perfectly-accurate simulation or an arcade racer, Shift sits somewhere between the two, part of EA's three-pronged plan to pull the saturated racing market toward its Need for Speed brand."
