Forums - PC - The Last Remnant PC demo?

I just downloaded The Last Remnant PC download and it's installing now. I tried getting the download from FilePlanet, but it never downloaded (got the free account; won't bother with a subscription). So now I Googled the demo and downloaded it from another website. Has anyone tried to download and install the trial/demo? My computer is a beast (it's a new one; Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT with Nvidia PureVideo HD for the built-in Blu-Ray player; has 4GB of RAM and can upgrade to 8GB). The benchmark clocked my PC at a good 30 FPS, but the detail was nuts on it. Looks much better than FFXI, but hey, I love that game.

Yeah, I tried it. It's very good, can't wait for the full game

I posted my impressions here

woot...it was fun on pc....none of the bad things that u heard about this game is non-existant in the pc version...very smooth...and textures are soo much better than console version of it...but then again...it's probably due to my comp specs...i'd definitely buy pc version if it didn't feel so pc-like...i like playing rpgs on console...

yeah, it totally depends on your PC, I don't have a dual core PC and there's considerable loading before entering battles.

but I didn't like it too much anyway. it doesn't help that it's kinda lame having almost an army to beat two giant insects haha

and the demo starting in the middle of the game is also a bad choice IMO, doesn't matter if you have two unions already if you don't know anything about the game

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

I'm getting it now from Steam.

I got it on Steam and have played a little bit. It will throw you into the game with no tutorial or nothin, so be prepared for some confusion.

I hope this Last Remnant fixes a lot of the issues present with the XBOX360 version. If the game was half as bad as the reviewers made it sound, I would not but it, ever.

It looks nice , works perfectly on my machine (dual core@3.0, 4 gigs of ram and radeon 4850) in full hd, but obviously the moneyhatting M$ did also included promotion of x360 gamepad among pc gamers becouse moving with keybord is not comfortable and it also shows X360 pad buttons on the screen (which pisses me off since i have logitech ps3 pad there)

going to control options from the main menu lets you change the "visual hints" for the controller of choice. I couldn't make my Xbox controller work in the game, so I changed the game to use my logitech as the controller, all the buttons on screen changed to match it.

That is odd, my wired XBOX360 controller works great in the game. No configuration was needed for me except for installing the controller's drivers beforehand.

I'll check it again at home but I'm pretty sure there were no such options.

Hmm maybe becouse i had the non-steam demo.
