Being in last place may help them 'later' but the games being released right now are mediocre (not counting kz2). Compare the gaming degree of the ps2 (140m total sales) to the ps3 (20m). Having such lack luster may really set the seed of doubt in the mind of developers.

Being in Last place has actually more then likely humbled them. Its keeping them grounded and they're doing their best to make sure they can be seen as competitors still. The quality in their first party has Soared since we cant rely on 3rd party support.

My only qualm about it being in 3rd place is that we dont seem to be getting as much JRPG's as we should.

I'm a little disappointed.

However,Sony has been pumping out amazing games this gen,making it pretty easy to not notice it's in third.

Overall, PS3 is the best console money can buy in my humble opinion. I love the games, that the most important part, plus I have Blu Ray.

2 years in guys come on its not over yet. why is it when xbox ppl say they've won everyone thinks they have. ps3 has far better games than the xbox, without halo, gears of war its got NOTHING.

Games are where I find my fun, not sales. Though nice sales for my favorite games are nice, I enjoy playing them more than talking about which game sold more.
