I keep hearing 360 and wii have all their eggs in this basket, but what about 2008? They don't have anything next year! Maybe, crazy thought, they do have things for next year but are talking about what they have right now, or in the immediate future, you know things that people will be deciding whether or not to buy. I don't know what either has for next year beyond a few titles here and there (too human, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles), but I don't think that means that in all of 2008 only 4 or 5 games are coming out on each system. So much as, nobody is talking about it right now. Rather what I think is happening is that all of PS3s games are coming out next year, so to take offensive position Sony fans point to next year, since the PS3 is going to get stomped right now and in this holiday season. Who cares about next year, when there is so much coming out now. Next year will be here soon and then we will be saying "OMFG look at day of disaster" or whatever title tickles your fancy. It's not like companies give a 18 month notice when they are going to release a game.

im a sony fan and im not saying anything about next year.. im tired of everyone one putting all of sony fans in the same category... with that being said there are plenty of games coming out for the ps3 right now to this holiday to keep me satisfied... im not even thinking of next year... november is a dam death trap for my wallet.. to take offensive position most 360 and wii fans like to categorize sony fans...

Nah, I love you guys. Anyways, there are tons of great games coming in 08, we just haven't focused on those games yet. Every year matters, 2007 just happens to be an incredibly huge year Game wise. But then again, the first full year of a console generation race tends to be that way.

I'm not paying much attention to 2008 mainly because I have seen so many games that were planned to be released in Q1/Q2 of a given year get pushed back to Q3/Q4 (or further) with many other games getting delayed from Q3/Q4 to the following year (or further) ...

We're only really getting to the point now where we can accurately predict which games will be available for Q4 of this year, and have a very good impression of which games will be very good and which will disapoint; I don't see much of a point in getting hyped about a game which will be released in 18 months and is only average.

Even now, a lot of announced Q4 2007 games are already being delayed to 2008.

Its funny how some people actually believe that the only thing Nintendo is bringing out in 2008 is Mario Kart and Wii Fit, and that MS has nothing after Halo 3. Those are always good laughs.

Considering right now 2008 isn't happening. I think 2007 is most important right now.
