Are talking comically insane like Kang the Mad from Jade Empire and Minsc from Baldur's Gate or are we talking psychotically insane...?

 psychotically insane

Either way, Gami Gami devil in popolocrois.

Trying to convince me the Wii is a real adult game machine 'if you play it right' is like trying to convince me Tofu tastes great 'if you just cook it right'

Albedo of Xenosaga.

I second this. Albedo was a real nutjob

Yes, this is a good choice. He was nuts. Haseo is not even near this level of insanity. Though the three I mentioned were ;)

More of you need to play EarthBound.

You need to play Xenosaga and Tales of Vesperia, Albedo and Zagi were f*cked up

I've played Vesperia.

Just try EarthBound a smidgen?

You mean to tell me Zagi was not insane?

I'm saying that comparing anyone to Giygas is unfair.

Well when you consider Itoi's inspiration for Giygas... I mean how could someone compare.

Most people come up with villians.

Giygas was born inside Itoi due to a traumatic event in his childhood.   Just sitting there in his own head waiting and waiting for the right moment to manifest tiself.

I have played all three of the .hack gu games. He is not nearly as insane as alot of the other characters. He has his moments, but the others are just entirely insane.

Edit: And Giygas shits all over him for the insanity. Watch the final battle on youtube.

Kefka.

What were his motives for doing what he did? It was fun...

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Conservatives:  Pushing for a small enough government to be a guest in your living room, or even better - your uterus.

I thought he did what he did because he though all life was pointless since everything in the universe is temporary... and he was mad at those who had hope and faith and found meaning in their lives for being idiots and believeing in stuff and wanted to destroy the world to show them.

Basically a Nihilist with the powers of God.

A strong image and message.  Only somewhat marred by Cyan meeting the ghosts of his dead family.

It's like how Mr. Terrific is an Atheist despite the fact that the servant of God was the one who convinced him to not kill himself and to be a superhero...

and he's talked with an angel multiple times...

and he's been to heaven.

Yep.  That's the world's third smartest man.
