@Thechalkblock: That doesn't help much. The point is that games with fixed cameras can use a number of tricks to increase detail, since they can assume certain things will never be seen. Therefore it's very hard to do a technical comparison of two engines that are so different.

As an example, see Resident Evil for the Gamecube.

Beats me. The comparison should be with KZ2 now. In fact, I'm not sure why we'd compare to Gears 2 when MGS4 won more awards for graphics in 08. Btw, I love that you used Gears to talk about the game.

The comparison suits KZ2 more because GoW and GoW2 were known for being among the best looking games on PS2, so the PS3 game has a legacy to live up to. KZ2 was hyped in 2005 for its graphics and had a lot to live up to as well.
