Well if you're insulted then I'm sorry but the point remains. It was silly to think it was about God of war for three reasons. 1, it was in the microsoft forum, 2. It has gears of war sales. 3, God of war 2 stopped selling a long time ago and has zero chance at passing the original whereas gears of war 2 will pass the original.

That statement right there makes no sense whatsoever. Supporting a leading business doesn't give your arguments more weight. If you can't see that, I can only shake my head.

So when a 360 fan who hasn't even held a dualshock 3 says killzone 2 sucks and I say it rocks, we're now supposed to believe the 360 guy...wow! Thanks for you great insight.

When arguing about which console will beat which in a sales site having one console continually outselling the other week after week whilst also being millions in the lead does infact gives ones arguments more weight when discussing sales trends. The exact same thing happened last year but in reverse.

 I had said that I believed GeOW 1 was overtracked, meaning that it may be adjusted which would mean GeOW 2 would reach the sales of the first before people thought. How did I not answer the OP? That was an answer. After I stated GeOW was undertracked and that I had a source to back my claim was when you and another poster got yourpanties in a bunch. I never insulted GeOW. In fact in that thread I said I prefer GeOW to GOW, and that both are increadible series. Hell, just look in my gamercard to see that I own both GeOW games and no one would have to look to far into my posts to find how many times I've praised the series. God forbid I suggest a game might be overtracked and how much that might hurt your console wars. It doesn't change how much I love the GeOW seires and I would hope it doesn't affect your enjoyment with the seires either.

I never even posted in that thread because I don't troll M$ forums. I look at threads on the front page and go in without paying much attention to where the discussion is. As soon as I saw GOW, I jumped in to see what it was about and was confused for a sec until I saw M$ discussion. My point is that people shouldn't be confused about your threads. It should be obvious. Some have even put the wrong games in the wrong threads. What if Jesus had done that? Like I said, I never knew GOW sales because I wasn't on vgc back then, neither do I care what gears has sold so I genuinely didn't realize it.

GoW may seem obviously gears to you probably because you have the game. But on my game shelf, GoW is God of War and I've never played a gears game. Thats all there is to it.

I don't think anyone in their right mind would say maybe that ps3 will outsell the 360 next week...thats just madness but if someone says the ps3 will outsell the 360 in 2011, there may be some merit to his argument irregardles of whats happening now. Ps3 was outselling 360 before the price cut last year, it didn't give the outrageous sales predictions some people made regarding it's sales "more weight " than others who thought the 360 was going to win eventually back then and I'm pretty sure you'll agree on that.

In the same vein. whats happening now doesn't give anyone's prediction priority over others. It's sensibility and credibility that counts not whose side of the fence you're on.

Look I agree. Calling the game GOW was a silly move because it was obvious it was going to cause issues. I never once argued that Gears should be shortened to GOW. My posts in that thread were more an attempt to somehow get the thread back on topic nothing more. The first reply alluded to that very problem, but they accepted that it was referring to gears and jesus then edited this thread to clarify after further people made the same mistake.

So whilst it may have been initially an issue it did become clear very soon after what the thread was about.

I think you've mistaken 360 fanboys for PS3 fanboys.

The second half of my post you initially responded to said and I quote "So bascally its a trade of 1 sides fanboy tears to the other" My point wasn't aimed at any logical people discussing sales trends. It was aimed at fanboys, who if they see their beloved console being outsold by the same console that they thought the tide was turning against they would then be increasingly annoyed by any arguments about the 360 sales trends in comparison to the ps3 sales trends. Because its now more logical to say the 360 has a serious long term chance of beating the ps3 this gen the ps3 fanboy will increasingly notice pro-360 comments for this reason. If an argument has more logic and thus more "weight" behind it then it would surely be far more annoying for a fanboy thats opposes said trends.

Thus what I mean was the amount of 360 fanboys may not have increased that much, but since the pro-360 sales predictions have, then they may appear more numerous to other fanboys.

Fanboys suck! Anyone who knocks somebody else cause they are jelious is just plain dumb.

And yes, I agree with the OP. But, it has been worse, especially with in the 1st 18 months of the PS3's life and mostly 360 fanboys, too. Gates must be grinnin' all day, every day.
