This. Downloads are probably the future anyway. Most like me prefer physical copies though. What if the company you downloaded from collapses and your hdd corrupts?

What if the company collapses and your disk/cartridge stops working? :P At least there's always the option to download the *** if your copy breaks. It's not illegal as long as you have a copy of the game after all... right?

 

If your disk/cartridge stop working. You can buy used ones from ebay. If you download games from a company's servers and they shut down, how would you replace them because chances are they'll be DRM'd.

 I've had hdds fail on me multiple times. Consider yourself lucky to never have experienced this.
