i like the nba still but i hate the way the game is called. soo many travels that never get called and always calling these ticky tack fouls acting like these aint grown men playing
Slam dunking ruined the sport. It's dominated by a bunch of mutants that can barely make a free throw. Raise the basket another two feet and half the NBA would be flipping burgers at McDonalds.
I remember an old teacher I had who preferred the WNBA because they actualy had to play basketball the way it was intended to be played. They had to shoot baskets instead of dropping them in.

Only a hand full of players can dunk a 12 foot basket, one of them being Dwight Howard.

The only problem with the WNBA is the game is pretty inferior even to college. You could put up a mens college team vs a WNBA team and my money is on the college team.
It's not just about being able to dunk either, it's all fundamentals and such.
Well, because men are more physical then women. At least the Detroit Shock win a lot!

Being more physical has nothing to do with the fundamentals.
It's got everything to do with men being paid more.
How many young boys think they're going to be in the NBA? How many have the talent and work really hard to get there... a lot... often from as young an age as Jr highschool... heck a couple gradeschoolers have been tapped by colleges.
They know they can make millions so they dedicate a lot of time and effort into playing.
While the WNBA... What can you expect? Heck, if your a JR Highschool girl are you even sure the WNBA will be around?
You don't have the luxuary of being so single focused. So the fundamentals don't develop as well.
I see what you mean. But, if a girl really loves basketball that's all she will focus on and she'll get to the WNBA.

NCAA is way more energetic and exciting, but I still like NBA. I'm going to Orlando on Spring break and I'm catching a Magic game!

I've seen players make 5 or more steps without dribbling the ball and not being called for traveling...dozens and dozens of times. Defense is pointless since players will practically tackle the defender just to get around them. There are almost never close games. At least the Maryland Terrapins are good.

Maybe it was woman's college basketball. I remeber he said that it was more of a team sport and not dominated by star players like the NBA. There was more passing the ball between players and more shooting at the basket. Not so much dunks and lay-ups.
