Its the pointer itself which really made the console. With the pointer, the shape soon followed and it gave people a console which something like Wii-Fit was conceivable. Motion is just an evolution on button mechanics, the pointer however was something which was revolutionary for a console. Lastly, its what I expect from my idol! ![]() |
The motion sensing aspect pretty much was encompassing everything about the Wiimote which is why I didn't really mention Sony's Sixaxis too much. And I mentioned IR in it because it was an important function as well but motion sensing was the bread and butter for Wii Sports which started the phenomenon. But I agree IR is a part of it as well.
