O.K. This is a place for boasting! Here are my contributions. With the NES VC releases a lot of classics are getting attention again. Just today I saw on GameTrailers.com a post for some dude who made a no death run of Contra.......BIG DEAL! I made no death runs of Contra as a boy back in the day without using any special weapons, and I was pretty much able to do this anytime I picked up and played the game. The only weapon upgrade I picked up was the "R" which of course was a rapid fire for the standard gun you start with. My friends back then would refuse to believe I could do this, so I would invite them over to watch. It was mezmorizing for them. By the way, any of you mods out there that also accomplished this task. I would like to know about it! Other notable accomplishment was beating Viewtiful Joe on all difficulties. The last difficulty is especially hard as the enemies do not telegraph if they are going to attack high or low. This makes some of the even "standard" enemies which you fight by the droves as tough as nails. The end was not so bad, its just getting there that is the problem. If you ever attempt to do this you are going to have to be able to beat the Big robot version of Captain blue without using your "take 2" as you are going to need it for Captain Blue. Anyone else up for boasting....

well i got 35 platinum metals on blast corps, that seems to me to be the hardest thing i did. However things are not always as you remember them.

I beat all 3 Ninja Gaiden games, that took many many tries.

I'll have to think about this more, I know there is more stuff.

Agreed. RolStoppalbes accomplishments are impressive. But has anyone else out there besides me, beat Contra for the NES witout dying or using any special weapons?
