Forums - Microsoft - How worn is your main controller? Are you proud of it?

Woops, I made it in the wrong place...

Forgive?

Tease.

I have been using the same NES controller for over 20 years...surprisingly it is still in great shape (with a little wear and tear) and the d pad and buttons are perfectly worked in....it will be a sad day when it dies

I started making videos for youtube; check them out.

Systems owned: Atari 2600, NES(3), Top loader NES, Yobo NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Sega Gamegear, Sega Nomad, Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Playstation 2, Wii, PS3 (slim 120 GB), Wii U

You should congratulate me. I destroyed the vile red falcon and saved the universe. I consider myself a hero.

Nothing is worn for me, even though I play a lot and generally use 1 controller all the time.

My N64 of course has a worn control stick with the worn area covering almost half the angle to the edge... but that is the only real problem.

True the buttons on the controllers (Wavebird and main Wii remote) are very smooth, more-so than when I bought them.... but the main buttons either have an imprint of the letter (A/B button) or on the Wii remote it is underneath clear plastic... so everything is still visible.

My control stick on the nunchuck is yellowed slightly... but that's about it really.

Of course it needs to be said I don't play violently, I don't have to rub my thumb as hard as I can on the stick, nor press the buttons as if I want to get through the other side of the controller, so that helps in stopping wear and tear.... also I glean he gunk from around buttons, and now with the Wii remote from the general shiny face itself too.

If anyone on here has control stick heads falling off or buttons that don't depress properly then they should learn to calm down a bit.

My NES, GEN, SNES, PS1/2, DC, and Wii controls are in really good shape. My N64 controls have their sticks leaning at an angle, but thats to be expected with N64 controls.
My main GCN control's rubber top on the control stick is completely gone. It just got worn down, became loose, and it just fell off one day. The buttons have almost no "bounce back"and sometimes stay down. The C-Stick randomly moves in one direction("X, Y, Start" fixes that) and its worn flat.
After 7 years of gaming with it I had to replace it, but I'm dam proud of it. I had to keep it.

To clarify on the proud part: Proud ofthe controller lasting so long that is. Not destorying it. I blame Melee.

My 360's R button is already acting up. Clicking for no reason... and basically all i've been playing on it is Culdcept Saga.

Glad i took Mr. Stickballs advice on that one. Great game.

Being proud of messing your controller is up is stupid imo. Id expect people to love their controllers to stay fresh after alot of use.

My Wii controllers looks the same. Minus the color looking off-white its still good.

Only the little tips on the joysticks are somewhat worn and it is nothing special.

Just sticky -

My game controllers were never that worn... Not because I don't play much but... I dunno I take care of them I guess. O_o

/Is proud.

Chic hands vs. raging man hands.

I had some pretty bad Gamecube controllers thanks to Soul Calibur 2 - people just love mashing the buttons like mad whenever they play that game. Now it's my PS3 controllers taking a beating from SC4.....whenever I watch the neighbor's kids play it at my house, I always have to watch in horror.
