You just had to go there didn't you...

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Dogs don't eat their own poop! !!
They are only trying to find food left behind that is still in the poop that they have not yet eaten. That's why they need to eat their own poop so that they don't eat the poop, but still get to the food that hasn't become poop yet. Then they eat it.

I am 17 and I've had a dog my entire life (one from when I was born till when I was about 7, and then the new one after that is still alive) and neither of the two dogs i've had have EVER tried to eat their own poop.

I don't know why your dog does, maybe you don't feed it well enough.

because you aren't feeding him well or maybe you are giving him so good food that his crap tastes good

This is a distinct possibility.  The OP should try some and let us know how it turns out.

Maybe its just a good conversation starter at parties.

wat, lol

When what you are feeding the dog does not give it the nutrients and minerals that it needs, the dog will eat it all over again to get some extra bang for the buck.

My advice would be to talk to your vet, or someone at the local Pet store (they get asked about food a lot), and find a better dog food for her.

Because they still have the instinct of a wild animal and in the wild you gotta defend yourself. In other words if you don't want to be found by your predator you gotta hide any evidence that you are there.

What predators would specifically track down a pack of dogs?
