Gamestop is the McDonalds/Burger King of videogame sales. It is run by minimum wage drones. They don't treat their employees well at all, and face large turnover. The business is meant to function despite all that. Their job is to lock your money in and keep recycling this cash in the system so you never go elsewhere.
I buy only from amazon now. I gave up on gamestop a long time ago. You can even get release date shipping on amazon for free (with prime) without waiting in lines at gamestop on launch day.
"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)
"WAR is a racket. It always has been.
It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

What does that even mean? Did you open it or something?
#1 is literally impossible.
#2 is is actually possible, and totally BS. The game isn't technically used, but it has been opened. They open one copy of each game and put the case on the wall so people will know they have the game but nobody will be able to steal the contents of each game. If there's only one left, that's the one you get, no matter how fucked up the case might be. It sucks.
Personally, I always make people aware that we only have the shelf copy available before they buy it. Some choose not to (I never do myself), but most just go, "Hey, if it works..."
#3 shouldn't happen, but it does because of selfish employees. However, I don't remember getting any Banjo pre-order bonuses at our store...
no it said new on the case i gave it to the guy and started talking to a friend then he gave me a bag.then when i got home i looked at it and the game was all scratched up(wouldnt even work).i then took it back and he said that i swapped games.oh and i had a edge card so i got a discount on used games
Yeah, I never really liked Gamestop. Big ripoffs.
I go to a store by my house called Fair Games instead. I sound SMG there for $40 new, while at Gamestop it was $45 used. :/
And if all else fails, Amazon.
if it wasnt for the fact that i enjoy all the preorder gifts, and that i like their prices of old old games, i wouldnt buy from them.
i never sell stuff to them, its a rip off. (ebay ftw)

Why would the game say "New" on the case at all? What game was this? Gamestop doesn't put a "new" label on any of their games as far as I know. Also was this game shrink wrapped at all? If it was then the culcprit is actually the manufacturer of the game, not Gamestop.
