Forums - General - Why are goth kids now called emo?

I hate everything that's trendy. And Goth and emo are trendy. Maybe Goth wasn't, like a looooooooong time ago, but now it is. Emo has always been.
Did you notice how a music taste comes with a wardrobe now a days? Fashion victims, emos, goths... throw'em all in a cage and set them on fire.

Quem disse que a boca é tua?

Qual é, Dadinho...?

Dadinho é o caralho! Meu nome agora é Zé Pequeno!

Around the Network

The difference between Goth and Emo is largely the difference in choice of music.

Well unless your a happy goth.

Then you just like to wear leather.

Or something.

The difference doesn't matter, they grow out of it after a year or two. I mean honestly how many Goth and Emo adults do you see? A tiny tiny subculture that is by far and large, sad in the same way fat people middle aged people that cosplay hot anime characters at conventions are. You don't see goth investment bankers, or emo chemists. Therapists don't wear black fingernail polish, and the guy doing my taxes doesn't have one of his bangs grown out so that it covers his eye and a tear drawn under the other eye with a purple magic marker. The only profession you see goths and emos is fast food service and it's because it's a kid thing. You grow up and act embarrassed at the old pictures, and you move on with your life get a job and a spouse and forget all about vampirism and pink eye liner and wearing a wedding dress to chucky cheese.

There are goth teachers....

Or at least that's the only way i can explain books like "Twighlight" and "The adventures of Fanboy and Goth Girl." being taught in a college.

That or like... "How to spot bad writing 101."
