I opened up a tab on my Internet Explorer just now to go to a different website, and my homepage is MSN.com. I saw this funny picture and article posted on the main page of MSN. The very thought and sight of this truth about us humans and our need to station satellites around Earth's orbit is too funny and stupid at the same time.

Sure us humans need satellites for broadcasting and phones, but take a look at what all the satellites look like that are orbitting Earth. Around 12,000 of them are doing so, and just recently this month a corporation's satellite collided with a satellite for Russia's military. It is also said that our satellites that are orbitting Earth will last for about 10,000 years.

Those satellites are definitely not drawn to scale since real pictures of the Earth clearly don't look like that.

Also, how is an overabundance of satellites orbiting Earth any worse than building large urban areas on the surface?
