Forums - Gaming - i spent $6000 on gaming last year :(

Since year's beginning I spent ~350€ to upgrade my PC and I'll spend another 150 to 350€ depending if I'll simply tweak and complete the new config once bought the essential or I'll add a new LCD monitor (not strictly necessary yet, my old 17" CRT is still alive, I bought it when the old one died and LCD's I was seing around were still meh for my tastes and too expensive for their quality) or a steering wheel or both.
And I'll spend another ~100€ for budget edition games.
So the total will be from ~600 to ~800€, but not only for gaming, my old desktop is getting really old and I'm not changing it with a monster PC, but with a low to mid range with low power consumption and low noise components, and it will have more than twice performing CPU and more than 4 times its RAM anyway.
And a bigger than my current desktop case that doesn't get me mad when I must put my hands into it
Initially I'll use 790GX chipset onboard graphics, as it will be more than enough for the games I'm playing and it will be for those I'm going to start too.

i spent about 8000-10000 VEF, (Venezuelan Bolivars), that is about 3800-4600 $, but that includes a TV and home theatre

Set yourself to a budget you won't have these problems. lol.

I spent $1,200 a year max unless I sell stuff on eBay then I allow myself more.

It's just that simple.

Roughly $5000 Australian including new gaming rig, multiple PS3 games and a couple of PC games.

Probably about $200, I don't like spending too much money. I just get what I want for Christmas most of the time, unless I have to have that game right away.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

wow just wow. i spend only 1200$ on 2 systems(new psp and used ps2) and more than 50(mostly used) ps2/psp/wii/gc/pc games. and yet i played much more games by borrowing them from friends and save some money by reselling some of purchased games so i would say that i spend about 900-950$ last year.

I probably dropped $150-200 on the VC last year and another 200 or so on games so I am probably around the $500 range. The biggest mistake I made in past was selling some of my games/systems. I wish I just kept them all especially the DS.

I spent about $500 last year on my PS3 and PSP. So, not too bad actually.
