Forums - Microsoft - Two Worlds thoughts?

Anyone else get the game, or have any more questions for me about TW?

I'm about 8hrs in. I'm level 28 or so (leveling up is going insanely fast. I ventured into areas with real strong enemies and mowed them down for lots of EXP). The game is great fun.

Ah, also, if anyone cares:

SouthPeak is releasing a major patch in a few weeks for Two Worlds to address the framerate issues, multiplayer lag, and various other smaller items.

Once this patch comes out, the game should be quite playable online, and therefore, very very sweet.

Thanks for the run down MrStickball. I'm also really interested in how MP is, but since you're offline I'll have to wait and see myself. Should have it from GF in about a day or so.

(I'm currently loving Bioshock...that game is a must play)

I really wanted this game but then I heard about the framerate issues and stopped me from buying it. So if the patch fixes this then I will buy TW. mrstickball did you happen to pick up the collectors edition and if so is it worth the xtra cash.

I wish you had online so you could tell how us how it is playing with other people, I've heard about reviews that its like diablo. Yea don't shoot me a friend told me that one.

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

Around the Network

Graphics - 6.75
Story - 7.0
Sound/Music - 7.25
Gameplay - 9.0

Those scores seem way too high, is it because you're a 360 fan or a RPG fan?

I like RPGs so I was going to rent it, but I've heard nothing but bad things for the last few weeks so I'll definitely pass even on a rental.
Also, I just saw video of Two Worlds for the first time in this thread.  Not impressed.

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

RPG fan.

Again, the redeeming quality of the scores is that the quality of the game gets better as you go. In the first 30 minutes, I was worried I was going to have to return it, but now I can't get away from it.

I just got my VGA computer monitor back and hooked up to Two Worlds - man that made a HUGE difference.

shina, don't pass judgement until you play the game...for about 4 hours. Again, it's lots of fun. I just learned how to forge new weapons. I can't believe I never found that out until now.

If anyone is interested, my friend finally had enough time to commit to this game to review it:

Sounds pretty mediocre to me but if you loved Oblivion, it might be something worth playing.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

The game is shitty. Shitty to the max. What someone from work had to say about it:

If any of you want to see how NOT to make a clone of Oblivion, by all means go pick up Two Worlds for the 360. Its probably the worst game I've seen in years. It looks ok in screenshots, but when you see the game in motion you'll just laugh at how horrible it is.

Here's a quote from one of the reviews I saw.

"Topware thought they had something golden on their hands that would light the world on fire. Sorry to break the news to you, but the only thing that should be lit on fire is the DVD this game is on. "

Seriously. Stay away.

I haven't personally played it but everyone I've met has said about the same thing. Even from the get go there's a quest that tells you to go South to find a cave when really you go east for a few miles and then go south. And then there's the whole if you're signed onto Live thing framerate sucks.

Well I am borrowing the game from my cousin right now. I haven't put it in my Xbox 360 yet so, I'm going to give it a try. I generally don't listen to reviews, I buy base on what I like.
