naughty dog is one of my favorite developers and I have no doubt that if they were to take over control of crash that it would once again at least be a great game, although not sure it would sell as well

I have no doubt that Crash Bandicoot could be great again if it was worked on by talented developers such as Naughty Dog, however that would be almost impossible at this time.
Naughty Dog is now a Sony subsidiary and the Crash Bandicoot series is currently owned by Activision Blizzard. Personally, I can't think of a single instance in modern gaming history where a first party developer developed a game for a third party publisher.
Well Activision owns the series so it is impossible but I believe that they could make a great game. What I want the most though is a new Jak and Daxter that would be even better.

It'd be better but IDK about making a comeback. It'd be a waste because Naughty Dog has better games to work on. Uncharted 2 + a PS3 Jak would take longer to release and that's a no no.
The only way i see it is if Sony Computer Entertainment buys the rights, and Activision Blizzard is not gonna sell them, at least not at a reasonable price...
I still remember the first three and Team Racing, those were games... Same with Spyro (The Insomniac days), those two series had enough power to dethrone Mario at that time, now we'll never know...

I think if the series is developed by Naughty Dog, crash could have a chance and make a great comeback. 2- However, the fact that Naughty Dog is concentrating on the Uncharted series, it looks impossible at this point. I don't know, maybe, I am wrong. 3- What do you guys think? |
1- Don't think it, it's a fact :P
2- Er.. I don't really think that's the problem, the thing is that Activition owns the IP and i don't think they will let naughty dog make the game}
3- I think that it could be very difficult, but possible.
it could make a comeback, not that the present games do not sell, but sure far less than the Naughty Dog ones
Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon sold something like 1.5 million across 5 platforms and is still selling a lot (especially on Wii), so i guess Spyro is doing alright
don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^
did jak sell nearly as well as crash? no, because it was crash that was a stronger brand name than naughty dog. the recent crash games have basically destroyed that brand name.
naughty dog might be able to do great things with it (i loved everything they put out so far) but it would not be a playstation mascot.
Spyro and Crash were the best two Sony characters back in PS times, and they sold them, just like that
maybe it was wrong for Sony to sell them, Ps3 could be much stronger now with exclusive Crash and Spyro games made by Interactive or Naughty Dog and of much better quality of course
