its crap, why shop somewhere when you don't have any choice of product? It makes no fukn sense.

Theres a Telstra shop here in oz, stupid idea

Ya WTF are people thinking... They should close down places that sell the product they make.... like Apple Store, Sony Store, Nissan, Ford, BMW, VW, McDonald's, Taco Bell,..... Auckem Fll.

I mean shit, It makes no sense that people want one store for the products they want.. instead of going into a Wal*Mart, Target, Bestbuy, walking down isle after isle to find that one shelf, with that one product, out of stock..

Car dealerships are irrelivent to this conversation and so are take away joints, they have always sold one brand. If there is no choice then they can charge any price they want to.

Actually about apple stores, there really isn't much to buy in them anyway. Look at ssj12's breakdown, theres even less MS branded products.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

M$ doesn't need such a large a store as Sony... god ssj12 if you didn't contribuit to this site you would be banned from trolling let alone being admin/mod.

Netflix could set up a booth in each store to promote Netflix, not to mention like I said a gaming area to try out games.

Good way to get Zune out to people because from what I have hear a) nobody knows about them and B) they're having one last ditch attempt at it.

Oh and another thing my local "Sony" store if you can call it that has kettles and samsung tvs in the windows. Its like some discount electronics store.

Just a quick list of what stores offer.

MS:
Zune
Xbox Games/Console
Windows OS
some input devices

Apple:
iPod
iPhone
iAccessories
Computers
Input Devices
Mac OS
TV thing
few other random things apple makes

Sony:
Blu-ray Discs/Players
TVs
Video Games for 3 platforms
Phones
MP3 players
that one text thing
DVDs
Sound Systems
Computers
Input Devices
whatever else is in the SonyStyles stores...

From what I guess MS will have the smallest store of the three...

IF done correctly though a good layout could easily fake out the look of less stuff.

There's no reason to think that MS won't branch out further. I mean, how difficult would it be for MS to form a partnership and sell PCs too? And this store could be about more than retail sales. Have friendly and helpful employees that show customers how to connect their Xbox with their windows vista machine, or show people how to turn their PC into a DVR (and how easy it is to playback recorded shows on their TV via their X-box.)

Remember how a while back it was being mentioned that Toshiba didn't think it would be difficult to integrate an Xbox 360 right into one of their TVs? Well, if that ever became a reality, I'm sure MS would make some space for a product like that. Heck, HD-flat panel TVs with a 360 built in? Oh man, if they wanted to sell something to compete with a Sony store... that'd be it. Ok, maybe I'm getting a bit too far into the dream zone, now...

In defense, like Telstra and other mobile phone shops (virgin, etc), they could sell anything they want to aslong as it had Windows software installed.

You don't think a M$ store would sell computers?  I think they might.

They might also sell some Windows Mobile related stuff.

Probably throw some Surface stuff in there.

where did I troll? Didnt I just say I would willingly wearing a shirt by Microsoft promoting Window 7 on it? IF I;m trolling against Microsoft why the hell would I willingly saying I would wearing a shirt supporting their product?

What I think is that you fanboys hate the fact I am a PC fan that hates some of Microsoft's stuff and likes others. I like their OS, I hate their web browser, I hate the 360, but like some of the games on it, I hate the Zune, but respect that they tried something different, I hate their accessories, but they are made for PC gamers so who cares.

They dont physically build computers or cell phones so I see maybe live demos of but not selling them.

I am almost certain they would make a deal with some companies to sell computers in the Microsoft store. Seems like a given to me.
