I brought my PS3 to my mom's house and plugged it into her VCR via composite (the VCR connected to the TV via RF). The demo for Heavenly Sword, probably the prettiest game I've ever seen, still looked phenominal.

People my not care about HD, per se, but they can still appreciate good graphics, even through RF!

Hus the point is that if people are looking at an SD picture and thinking "Wow HD looks great." you can argue that they really don't want or need HD. They are perfectly happy where they are at.

Even I can't believe these numbers are this low. It's like 40% of Wii users not having figured out there's a pointer function in the wiimote. Maybe it means the amount of people who have a HDTV as well as a HD console, and are utilizing the feature?

Hus, I have never actually seen you think through one of these arguments. Find me some stats, a real article, poll numbers, ANYTHING. Otherwise this is just your opinion, and it happens to contradict REALITY.

If people just wanted a 'better looking picture', than the Wii would not be doing so well. People want their video games to be FUN, and that's why the Wii is winning.

This is a stupid, ignorant statement. Any moron that has played more than one game on the Wii knows that 'waggle' is not the only thing to do with the Wii remote. Better gameplay= Swinging the wii remote like a sword, using it like a tennis racket, using it as a golf club, mimicking the motions of bowling and having the onscreen character bowl, pointing it at the screen to aim instead of using dual analog, etc, etc.

You are just bitter. Go outside and do something fun (play in the sandbox, get on the swingset, whatever) and maybe you'll feel better.
