this is an early version of what resident evil 4 should be befor it's latest version.

i think it has same gameplay with the firsts resident evil series, and of course a 3D camera

Welcome to... heck, I don't even remember how old this is. ^^

It's definitely much more Resident Evilish than the game known as Resident Evil 4, and I guess fans would prefer it. Not being a fan of the franchise, and RE4 being the first of the bunch that I actually finished, I wouldn't.

Sadly they scrapped it as they thought it was too supernatural (Resident Evil was/is supposed to be more about infected/mutated stuff..while this was more like Silent hill).

To be honest this would have been a great place to start for a Wii spin-off as they could use some of the assets already created.

yeah i remember those and screen shots for re4 back in the day watching that makes me mad that they went the route they did with re4 and now with re5 they should of stuck with that formula

Even just the sounds are scarier than wat they use now i love the loud foot step noises ur character makes wen walking

i think the reasons re earlier version have better graphic than the final version are:
1- the early game looks like slowst than the final ( the final version was optimised for more actions).
2- if this version looks better graphically, may be it was just an old resident evil like; i mean there no scenes showing the apperance of more than 3 zombies ( and surly these zombies move slowly not like the final version).
3- the camera is not always behind leon, it looks like the camera mode on code veronica.
so my conclusion is the earlier version was optimised for graphiques , and the final version for more action.
