Forums - Microsoft - EXCLUSIVE jRPGs after SO4 is released for 360

As a 360 owner, I am curious on the jRPG future after SO4.  I know Final Fantasy XIII is coming, but I'm getting that for the other console.

I really bought my console for the EXCLUSIVE jRPGs like LO, ToV, and now SO4.  I'm very honest when I say this - I'm completely uninterested in the Halo and Gears scene (I know it's very unusual for a 360 owner).  On the other hand, I don't have much interest in Killzone 2 either.  Most wRPGs land on PC or PS3, although I thouroughly enjoy Fable 2.

Unfortunately, Cry On was cancelled and that was a game I was really looking forward to.  Do you think we will get any EXCLUSIVE jRPG announcements for 360 soon?  Or is MS silently drifting away from the genre?

And for anyone who cares, I will be buying a Wii as soon as more of the jRPGs start coming out.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Conservatives:  Pushing for a small enough government to be a guest in your living room, or even better - your uterus.

Mistwalker will probably announce something very soon.

You enjoyed Fable, so depending on wht Petey's making next, you may like it.

I would say developement in part depends on SO4's sales, if its good. I wish there will be another HD Tales, multiplat if neccesary. SQEENIX would rightfully shut its mouth right now if it wants hype to center on SO in Japan. MS doesn't give up so easily.

But heck, it might happen. I doubt it though.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

The last year we don't know everything about the Last Remnant and SO4 until June, so waiting for E3 2009.

Everything is kept under wraps these days till E3 or close to it.
If theres nothing of announcements after E3 comes and goes then you can worry. But I know by then something else will be announced. I just don't know what.

It's just that simple.

With the numbers the exclusive 360 JRPG are bringing in I find it hard to see any big JRPG going exclusive to the 360 after SO4, multi-plat is really the way to go. Mistwalker have nothing to do with MS anymore, they made their 2 games and since MS is licking SE balls they simply do not need Mistwalker anymore. Right now they are making DS games, who knows where that will end up.

Personally I see most JRPG going to Wii and handhelds, simply cannot blame devs about that though.

GDC is oh-so shortly after SO4 comes out. Expect MS to have another JRPG announcement by then.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
