Forums - General - Hey, did anyone see last night's Daily Show? (media related)

Well, Jon Stewart had a guest on there that wrote this article for Time magazine, titled "How to Save the Newspaper", essentially a means to help newspapers and magazines cope with the presence of the internet in competition with printed media... Basically, the guest's solution was to microcharge people for reading the news on the internets... Between the mentions of making newspaper ink laced with controlled substances, Jon Stewart actually came up with a few ideas to augment the guest's own... His idea was to microcharge the aggregatorial news sites (please don't ban me for this, ioi; TheSource; and anyone who could do so that I didn't know about/ forgot to mention) and continue to give the people news for free by having them click their source links (well hey, they make ad money hand over fist anyway, for the most part)...

So the question I'm asking is this: is this a good idea? Or is Jon Stewart dead to the vgchartz.com community? I don't believe I have to tell you the rules... Have fun!
