I wonder about the US support. Granted I haven't seen a new XBox on the shelf in over two and a half or more years. Also I don't know if I would even pay MS to fix a original XBox considering you can get used working ones for like $50 or less shipped on eBay.

Systems always last longer in Japan. Everything from NES to Dreamcast continued to be sold there long after they were discontinued in the US.

So, let's make a guess... how many original, unsold xboxes might be hiding in damp warehouses and discount bins in Japan?
