oh ok, so how would they go about solving this issue? I used IE to download firefox, do these companies really want MS to include competitive products?
Note: Some games in my collection are no longer owned, but have owned.
Crappy thread . Seems like sony being on the verge of bankruptcy has really hurt the feelings of some posters like the thread starter .
This is all about the EU and perceived monopolistic practices by Microsoft.

Two interesting points from the article.
1. Opera brought the suit -- Firefox is just getting to file "friend of the court briefs."
2. IE just under 60% share in Europe. Firefox just over 30%. Opera about 5%. Safari 2-1/2%. Chrome just over 1%. (Data as of Nov. 2008).

There's no good solution...since this is about competition issues, basically whatever the setup agreed it will end up compulsed to include any browser that applies. Which means, at least dozens, eventually even hundreds of browsers.
edit: probably the "best solution" might be presenting a raw list with a custom internet connection (is that correct, I'm not that versed in networks) transparent to the user to download the browser executable from a dedicated repository.

This thread has nothing to do with Sony. It has to do with the M$'s inferior software that you are forced to purchase when you buy a computer.

That's not true. It's never been true (although marginally true) but these days...
There's always been people selling computers without any OS. Nowadays, even major vendors who didn't sell computers without an OS (like Dell) now give you a Linux option so you save that money.
I agree IE blows compared to some of the alternatives out there, but you don't need to lie to make a point.
Wow thats dumb, I use FF but seriously. Anyways MS's army of lawyers will win.
How is 60% considered a monopoly anyway?
