Forums - Gaming - Is Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner(PS2) a game worth owning/playing?

I picked up Shin Megami Tensei-Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army(Yeah long title) from Gamestop for $8.99. It was much cheaper than any of the other SMT games I've seen. Is there a reason for this? I know it's the lowest rated of any SMT game last gen(74 Metacritic), but it still has a decent rating, and it seems like an interesting game. For those that have played it, how does it measure up to other SMT games? Is it worth playing at all? What are the pros and cons?

My situation is that I'm in Florida on a sorta vacation, and I can't play it in the first seven days I'll own it for, so I'll need to trust the opinions of you fine folks on whether I should return it and get my money back or not.

It's not your typical SMT turn-based game. It's more action-oriented but a pretty good game nonetheless. The story isn't all that though.
