I've played the demo, and didn't like it that much, even though it has atmosphere. Good but not great.

Possibly but it won't be a day one purchase and it certainly won't be on anything else than PC.

I'll be renting, but later buying. I want to support monolith, but I don't have the money yet :/

Condemned 2 was criminally overlooked and also made by Monolith, but I think FEAR 2 may get some pretty great sales. The game looks absolutely great. Who else loved the demo? :P 

I'm renting it but not buying. Reviews have said the online isn't very good so it's not worth a purchase. Even if not, the gunplay was very mediocre. It felt EXACTLY like playing Timeshift. It handled EXACTLY like that game. Needless to say I was very unimpressed with the gameplay. The scary scenes however were increadible and make's it more then worth a rent. The ghosts and the way they flicker towards you was so awesome. More then made up for the mediocre controls and combat.

I didn't love the demo, the slowing mechanic, feels just dated, gunfights were good but nothing special, didn't like the method of switching weapons, mech part was great though. Your typical first person shooter with great atmosphere, and mechs.

 Eh, the gunplay is dated. Its FEAR's gunplay without any of the awesome bullet streams. But the horror parts were to die for(no pun intended. Well....maybe a little bit.)

At $60, I'm not sure =/

I was able to justify the cost when I bought the first one on PC - after it got boring, I started downloading/making mods and that made things abit funner for a while.

I hated FEAR1's multiplayer alot so if they improved that, then maybe...

bah forget this game. it is nothing to other games in the genre. Killzon 2, Street Fighter iv, ES are getting my money
